Blackberry 10 Nokia S40 and S60 series Windows 7.1 Android 2.1 and 2.2

The WhatsApp launched in 2009, last week WhatsApp turned 7 years old. As time changes WhatsApp introduces new features and changes.

Bad news for blackberry and Nokia user: WhatsApp will no longer available for BlackBerry 10  and windows 7.1 phones.

As in WhatsApp blog, they said by the end of 2016, We will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger for couple of devices.
“As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use. So, by the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms”

  • BlackBerry 10
  • Nokia S40 and Nokia 60 Series
  • Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
  • Windows 7.1 Mobile

But, they have not mentioned time when it will get stop support.

In short I can say that WhatsApp recommends users to upgrade a device to avail continue messaging service
